I always bring my friends to Bien Hen Restaurant for beers, and it's our go-to spot on the weekend ! The food is consistently amazing. Besides the must-try grilled CatFish, we also love the steamed clams with Tom yum soup and grilled scallops with green onion. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff is super friendly, making it easy to relax and have fun. Whether we're here for the incredible seafood or just a round of beers, we always have a great time. You would come here for family style Vietnamese dinner. This local spot serves authentic Vietnamese dishes including Balut. There's a good menu of seafood. We got the razor clams, lotus and pork salad, ongchoy, and braised catfish in clay pot. The flavors all came out great. I think the catfish dish was my favorite because the sauce was pretty good. I don't usually eat catfish, but this place does a pretty good marinade. Food came out fairly quick. Price is reasonable. We had a great time eating here. It's not a bad spot for Vietnamese street food if you don't want to wait a long time for service at other places. Place is pretty clean and spacious. less

Came in today (Monday at 2:30 pm) and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Service was prompt and the servers were nice. My friend and I ordered: razor clams (9/10) the creamy escargot (8/10) steamed large escargot (6/10) steamed vegetables (9/10) small fried catfish (10/10) *** The spring roll was probably our favorite! It's such a big dish. We ordered that after ordering the smaller items and it came out last because it's such a big dish so we were really full! Was the star of the show! Had to pack some Togo. Like adding spicy chili sauce and the green sauce that comes with it the escargot on it. The large escargot was a little too big and chewy for us but the broth it came in was excellent! The tiny creamy escargot was really good, reminds me of a creamy curry or coconut milk base broth. You can just suck out the juice and escargot but we used toothpicks for help too. The steamed vegetable was so crunchy and garlicky! So yummy! Def will come back for this. Overall would come back for spring rolls, razor clams and the veggies! This place is excellent as usual. Back here with another friend. They changed the skin on the fish. It seems a little battered when it used to not be. Still tastier than most of their competitors. Service is good and the epitome of a good viet restaurant is the wiff of the nuc cham. Try it out if you're in the area! less

This is a great restaurant for the large baked fish (ca nuong). My party got a Large for 4 people and it was a perfect size. It did take about 10-15 minutes to cook/wait FYI. It does come with a plate of veggies, a plate of vermicelli, and 15-20(?) spring roll wrappers for the spring roll - extra plates would be a charge. The staff was helpful and fast. However, the restrooms were quite dirty and perhaps not checked on as often (also only 1 stall per gender). Large parking lot but there is a homeless population to be mindful of. less

It was over an hour wait for OC & Lau so we figured we'll try this place. It's a great alternative since there was little to no wait! Food was pretty good as we ordered the garlic butter escargot, fried salmon belly, shaken beef, five spice deer meat, and razor clams. If you like the small escargots, then it's the coconut swirly escargots but if you like the bigger ones like I do.. make sure you order the normal bigger ones ! I was surprised how the food came out so fast. Once we ordered, the food came out within 2-5 minutes, wow ! Docked one point solely because service was lacking. All the waiters were nice.. however one particular lady helping us had an attitude and looked like she hated our table since we didn't speak Vietnamese and she somehow couldn't understand us. I asked for shaken beef (just the meat alone) and she said it comes with rice or noodles. But I see it clearly on the menu that there are diff options with or without carbs. After a minute she said yes we could order the meat alone lol... anyways it was cool, would come again to try the fried catfish everyone was ordering ! less
